ABC Teachers are currently recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding Staffordshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, education, or child development.
About the role
As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will gain hands-on classroom experience, delivering pre-set lessons and supporting pupils in the absence of the class teacher.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absences
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting students to stay on task and engaged with learning
- Gaining valuable experience in secondary school environments

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Graduate cover supervisor- Training provided you will:
- Hold a UK degree (any subject considered)
- Have a strong interest in education or teaching
- Be confident leading a classroom of secondary-aged pupils
- Possess excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Have (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
