ABC Teachers are looking for a primary qualified teacher to work at a primary school in Burton, who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 6 teacher to work on a full time basis starting in January 2026 until at least July 2026. A permanent role is a possibility for the right candidate. The school are looking for an individual with relevant teaching experience which can be referenced. The school will consider applications from experienced teachers with a background in a Key Stage 2 setting. This is a two form entry primary school that is well respected in the local community.
The Role:
- Working Monday to Friday, with the hours of 08:30-15:30.
- Planning and conducting lessons for a Year 6 class starting from January 2026 and to continue throughout the academic year.
Requirements:
- Hold valid teaching experience and Qualifications (QTS).
- Hold strong Curriculum knowledge.
- Be able to provide 2 solid references covering years’ experience.
- Be able to control a classroom environment efficiently while delivering high quality lessons.
- Have a passion for teaching and learning while being able to bring a positive and creative approach to the classroom.
- Hold a DBS registered on the update service or must be able to arrange one.
- Have previous experience working within education or a similar environment.
