About the role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning, supporting pupil progress, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will also provide calm, consistent support to pupils with autism and other complex needs, helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Mark and assess student work, providing clear feedback to support progress
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Model respectful, inclusive behaviour and contribute to a classroom culture where every student feels valued, heard, and respected.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Complex Needs Teacher you will:
- Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour, SEMH or ASC.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
