To provide high-quality care and education for children from walking age to 5 years, following the EYFS framework, promoting children’s holistic development and maintaining a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate activities following the EYFS.
- Observe, assess and record children’s progress using the nursery’s systems.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and families.
- Promote children’s independence, confidence and emotional well-being.
- Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies are followed.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards of education and care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the learning environment.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions and CPD activities as required.
Requirements
- Level 2, 3 Early Years Qualification or QTS.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
- Experience in early years settings (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and a positive, nurturing approach.
- Enhanced DBS and two satisfactory references.
- Right to work in the UK.
