We are looking for a part time Environmental Health Officer to join our forward-thinking Food and Safety team, although we will also consider your application if you are a Technical Officer.

Your varied role includes:

  • Food safety inspections
  • Health and safety and accident investigations
  • Infectious disease control
  • Skin piercing registration
  • Caravan site licensing
  • Investigation of complaints

Who we are looking for:

If you are an enthusiastic and innovative EHO, and will positively contribute to driving the service forward, we would love you to join our team. You will need to use your own initiative, be proactive and work well in a team and alone.

EHO minimum requirement: a BSc or MSc degree or equivalent in Environmental Health. If you are an EHTO, we are still interested in hearing from you: 3 A levels (including 1 science) or an equivalent BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in a science subject and Higher Certificate in Food Control/Food Premises Inspection.

General:

  • Current technical and working knowledge of food and safety matters
  • NEBOSH Diploma or Certificate would be an advantage
  • A member of the CIEH
