The Borough of Great Yarmouth is an exciting place to work. It offers interesting and varied casework across both urban and rural settings along the east coast of Norfolk, including the Port of Great Yarmouth.

Tourism and leisure play an important role in the local economy, from Great Yarmouth’s bustling Golden Mile seafront packed with amusements, attractions and restaurants, to the beautiful countryside dotted with windmills and access to the Broads National Park, with riverside pubs and tearooms.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking Environmental Health Practitioner or Senior Food and Safety Officer to join our friendly and professional Commercial Team. The key aspects of the role are food safety and health and safety, alongside infectious disease controls, food and water sampling, ship sanitation inspections and private water supplies. Experience in these additional areas would be an advantage, although training will be offered to the successful candidate.
