About the Company:

We are a family owned company supporting looked after children with Care, Education & Therapy. Our children are typically aged between 11 - 17. Up to 3 Children live in each home. We are looking for innovative support workers to provide their children with the tools to succeed in life. Our homes are located within Carnforth, Lancashire & Kendal, Cumbria.

The Senior Role:

As well as leading & supporting staff, you will be responsible for ensuring young people are supported and prepared to move onto independent living. You will ensure that high levels of emotional and physical care are planned, provided and applied in accordance with the home’s procedures and strategies.

You will be a Senior Residential Care Worker as per the Childrens Homes Regulations. Therefore, emotional sustainability, sound partnership practice, verbal and written communication techniques, the ability to form lasting relationships, commitment to working issues through, to be tenacious in working in a planned way to achieve the best outcomes for the young person through establishing small achievable targets are required.

Salary:

Our 42 hour full time role includes an average of 2 sleeps per week £27,872 - £30,056 (Inc 2 sleeps per week @£58 per sleep)

Senior Residential Care Worker Requirements:

  • Hold, or be working towards a Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
  • Experience leading & motivating staff
  • 2 years’ relevant experience working with children and young people
  • Able to produce written reports on the progress of young people and work to high standards
  • Professional commitment to development and training

Our homes are very difficult to get to if you are unable to drive, as they are not near any public transport routes. Therefore full time staff would require access to a vehicle.

As we do not use agency staff we are always looking for a strong team of casual staff to cover holidays & sickness.
