Job Description
- Brand & Product Communications Support
- Support brand communications across AA portfolio, with a focus on post-approval and launch phases, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and corporate positioning.
- Partner closely with Brand, Medical, and Commercial teams to develop PR narratives and external communication materials that reflect both scientific credibility and aesthetic sensibility.
- Ensure brand-related PR activities uphold Allergan Aesthetics’ standards of science-based communication, ethical conduct, and brand excellence.
- Corporate PR & Reputation Management
- Support corporate-level PR initiatives that enhance Allergan Aesthetics’ reputation with external stakeholders.
- Work in collaboration with Government Affairs and the commercial team from the public hospital sector to ensure alignment on messaging related to corporate presence, industry engagement, and policy-sensitive topics.
- Contribute to building a consistent and credible corporate image across industry, business, and selected mainstream media.
- PR Strategy Support & Strategic Thinking
- Partner with the PR Head to shape, refine, and elevate PR strategy, incorporating insights from the regulatory, policy, and medical environment.
- Apply strategic judgment to ensure PR initiatives appropriately balance brand objectives, scientific rigor, and corporate reputation considerations.
- Event Communications & Coordination
- Support PR planning and execution for major industry and corporate events, including but not limited to:
- Medical aesthetics congresses (e.g. AMWC)
- Large-scale exhibitions (e.g. CIIE)
- Corporate or internal & external-facing company events (Annual kick-off meeting)
- Ensure PR messaging, media engagement, and corporate branding are consistently and professionally presented.
- Media Relations & Agency Management
- Build and maintain effective relationships with industry, business, and relevant mainstream media.
- Manage PR agencies to ensure strategic alignment and high-quality execution.
- Drive increased share of voice and positive visibility through proactive media engagement.
- Issue & Crisis Communications Support
- Support issue management and crisis communications, including media monitoring, message development, and response coordination.
- Work closely with Medical, Government Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and International/Global teams during sensitive situations.
Qualifications
- Job Qualifications
- Solid experience in Public Relations and Communications is required.
- Experience within large multinational pharmaceutical or healthcare companies is strongly preferred.
- Experience in consumer healthcare, medical aesthetics, or medically-regulated consumer products is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Medical and Government Affairs functions.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of professional PR and communications experience, preferably covering:
- Pharmaceutical or medical aesthetics industry
- Consumer medical or beauty-related products with medical attributes
- Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies
- Strong understanding of science-based communication and its importance in protecting corporate reputation.
- Ability to translate complex medical and policy-related topics into clear, credible PR narratives.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and sound judgment in a regulated environment.
- Proven experience in media relations, agency management, and crisis communication.
- Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English.
- Strong collaboration mindset and ability to influence without authority.
