As a Statistics & Analysis Manager, you will provide both technical and people leadership across Clinical and R&D projects within Abbott's Diabetes Care business. Leading a team of statisticians and analysts, you will be responsible for shaping statistical strategy, allocating resources across a diverse project portfolio, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality analysis projects that support product development, clinical evidence portfolio, regulatory submissions and business decision-making. This is a key leadership role where you will build capability within the team, develop talent, and foster a high-performance culture while ensuring statistical excellence across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate statistical support across Clinical and R&D programmes, ensuring quality, consistency and compliance.
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of statisticians and analysts, providing guidance, feedback and career development support.
  • Drive team performance through effective goal setting, performance management and development planning.
  • Allocate and manage statistical resources across multiple projects, balancing priorities and business needs.
  • Support new product development through robust experimental design, data analysis and interpretation.
  • Ensure analyses, reports and sampling plans meet internal standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
  • Provide statistical and clinical input into regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory bodies.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to influence strategy and support critical business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within statistical methodologies, processes and team capability.
  • Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and succession planning activities to support the continued growth of the statistics function.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Statistics, Mathematics or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience leading and managing technical teams, including responsibility for performance management, coaching, mentoring and employee development.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a track record of building, developing and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Strong expertise in statistics, analysis and performance measurement gained within a commercial, scientific or technical environment.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering results through a team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working within a regulated or operationally complex environment, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare or manufacturing, is advantageous.
  • Experience using SAS or other statistical analysis software is advantageous.
