The predicted salary is between 500 - 1500 ÂŁ per month.
We have an exciting opportunity for 3 Interns to join our Quality team. These placements will be in one of either CAPA, Audit, Post Market Surveillance, Operations Quality or Document Control.
Throughout your placement, you will find yourself:
- Supporting the ADC Witney QS Improvement plan to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Quality System in accordance with divisional and corporate requirements and applicable regulations.
- Assisting the development and implementation of continuous improvements plans.
- Collaborating as part of cross functional project teams by providing guidance and offering solutions for the timely and cost effective improvement projects.
- Participating in project teams in order to ensure that changes to existing products and processes are made in compliance with ADC quality system requirements.
Depending then on your assignment placement:
- Support the investigation of non-conforming events and identification of corrective action to prevent occurrence.
- Support the administration and continuous improvement of core quality systems overseeing Training and Document Control.
- Support the generation of Post Market Surveillance reports to ensure Abbott’s on-market products remain safe and effective.
- Support Quality Audit Readiness through identifying and remediating audit risks.
- Support the planning and organisation of external Quality audits.
- Provide shopfloor quality support for production/validation activities.
- Investigate, document, and remediate quality issues; escalate as required.
- Make quality decisions during manufacturing, testing, and packaging.
- Champion initiatives to improve quality systems and product quality.
- Promote a “right first time” approach to quality documentation.

What are we looking for?
You should be studying for a degree in an engineering or sciences field, and be seeking a year in industry placement as part of your qualification. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a team and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment. You will need to have good oral and written communication skills to be able to prepare reports and technical documents. You must be organised and flexible in your approach to work, with good attention to detail in order to ensure that data and analyses are accurate and meet the requirements of the project.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate around STEM, and keen to pursue their career in the Medical Devices sector. Career growth and future opportunities are pillars of our program. The system consists of a hand-held meter or smartphone app, and disposable test strips or on-body patch containing a sensor. The meters are developed in Alameda, California, and the strips and sensors developed and manufactured in the UK, at Witney, near Oxford.
