Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. We are looking for a commercial Finance Manager to support Abbott Vascular's Region North business (UK, Ireland, Nordics, Baltics & Poland), to be based from our Maidenhead office. Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will provide financial support and guidance to the business, whilst ensuring all processes are compliant, structured, and efficient.
What you’ll do:
- You will be an advisor to sales, marketing and general management in relation to organization and procedural matters to help achieve company goals.
- Manage the Finance department, leading a small team, ensuring the team are resourced adequately and cross trained to a high standard to adequately support the business needs and to provide a high level of business continuity across the finance department.
- Ensure the reporting needs of management and develops the appropriate reporting tools and manage sales analysis requirements.
- Monitor the standard margin and contribution margin progress on a regular basis and identifies opportunities to increase profit margin where possible.
- Understand the strategic goals and aligns thinking with the company’s business strategies.
- Monitor market activity at a sales and unit revenue, market share and hospital account level to support the commercial goals, on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and calculate accurate Commissions for the commercial team in accordance with the incentives.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Finance/Accounting related discipline or equivalent.
- Professional Qualification in finance e.g. ACCA, CIMA.
- Proven people management experience in a financial environment.
- Has an in-depth knowledge of accounting and cost as well as inventory management understanding.
- Previous experience in a commercial environment.
- Excellent system skills and appreciation – Excel, SAP, Power BI etc.
