We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) business, where as a global leader, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.

The Opportunity: We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager who will act as a strategic commercial partner to the CRM Division of Abbott Medical UK, providing commercial leadership, guidance, and functional expertise to drive sustainable growth and deliver business objectives. This is a field-based role with 60%-70% of travelling anticipated.

As a Commercial Manager you will support the design, development, implementation, and execution of commercial strategies, processes, and value-based commercial models that strengthen Abbott Medical's market position and contribute to the achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies that drive growth and maximise opportunities within the NHS and healthcare market.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs and business opportunities through data analysis, market intelligence and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead tender, pricing and contract strategies, ensuring competitive, compliant and value-driven commercial solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS procurement teams, ICSs, framework managers and key decision-makers.
  • Act as a trusted commercial advisor, supporting value-based partnerships and influencing commercial outcomes.
  • Drive contract performance, commercial excellence and continuous process improvement across the business.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Commercial Operations to deliver strategic objectives and maximise market share.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and guidance on commercial negotiations, stakeholder management and tender strategy.
  • Represent Abbott Medical as a senior commercial leader, building long-term partnerships and strengthening market position.

Required qualifications/Profile:

  • A business degree, or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience in a sales or commercial role dealing with UK Tenders within the UK Healthcare Market is desirable.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insight and drive decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with managers, co-workers and customer stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercial acumen including pricing, contracting, and value-based selling.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analysis and decision making skills.
  • Experience of UK commercial and contract law to assess and challenge constantly changing market place.
  • Demonstrate the authority, confidence and intelligence required to deal directly with each customer group on general matters relating to Tenders & Quotes.
  • Excellent general computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
