We are looking for a Regional Team Leader (remote role – candidate should be based in South East UK) within our Rapid Diagnostics business, regionally across the UK. This role involves leading and managing a team of Collecting Officers responsible for collecting legally defensible samples for our customers in the South East region.
Main accountabilities:- Train team members in all collection methodologies and complete onboarding, ensuring comprehensive understanding of collection processes and documentation.
- Manage a standby rota for the Collection Network Emergency Response Call Out Service to meet business KPIs.
- Participate in an out-of-hours Duty Manager rota, providing support and guidance to Collecting Officers and the Customer Service Centre (CSC).
- Ensure collections are allocated efficiently to the nearest, available, and trained Collecting Officers.
- Line manage Collecting Officers, using trend data to reduce complaints and improve service quality.
- Conduct audits as per schedule and perform spot audits on your team; support audits of other teams as needed.
- Identify and support recruitment of Collecting Officers.
- Manage collection kits and equipment, and process leavers in our system with future end dates.
- Oversee stock and equipment management to prevent excess holdings and reduce waste.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met, including compliance with the Working Time Directive (WTD), monitoring on-call and routine work, and supporting the wellbeing of Collecting Officers through appropriate leave management.
- Regularly conduct customer collections across all testing methodologies to maintain competency, provide training, and perform audits.
- Strong managerial and leadership skills, capable of motivating a team in a busy environment.
