JOB DESCRIPTION: Bring your passion, ideas and purpose to life in a company that can truly help you achieve your full potential.

Known for the development of revolutionary technologies, Abbott\’s Diabetes Care business designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We are passionate about doing work that improves the quality of people’s lives. You can shape your career as you help Abbott shape the future of healthcare, and join our Clinical Affairs function as a Clinical Research Associate or Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA).

The role of CRA for Abbott is much more than just being a monitor. On a day by day basis, you will find yourself representing Abbott regarding the conduct of clinical investigations at study sites across the UK and possibly other European countries for the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System, and other ADC technologies, ensuring these are compliant to protocols, Abbott procedures, and applicable regulations. You will be a key point of contact for the site, and support with all associated activities, including monitoring, verification of source data, issue resolution, correspondence, and study start up.

You should be excited about working in a fast-paced environment within a hard-working and welcoming team. You will be keen to develop your exposure of Clinical Trials, and we would welcome candidates from both a monitoring and broader Clinical Research Associate background.

To be successful, you will ideally be qualified in a physical science discipline to HNC or higher, and preferably bring experience of working in a Medical Device/IVD environment (although a Pharmaceutical background may also be considered).

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a team. You will need to have good communication and time management skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment. There will be opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams across the Abbott Diabetes Care business, including Data Management, Regulatory, Statistics, and Scientific Affairs. Travel is expected to be circa 50-60% of the role, with the remaining time spent at our state of the art R&D and Manufacturing facility in Witney, West Oxfordshire, working alongside colleagues and team members.

Abbott has health/wellness and financial benefits that help provide security for you and your family. We offer a competitive range of benefits including excellent salaries, a class-leading defined contribution pension scheme, a share ownership scheme, and much more! Here at Abbott, we also like to help our employees live life to the fullest, and therefore we offer a range of optional initiatives for you to get involved in – at Witney you\’ll find onsite allotments, couch to 5k campaigns, bee keeping, yoga and more, and at Maidenhead, you\’ll find an onsite gym, virtual yoga, and more!
