WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll be accountable for building strong omni-channel trade marketing strategies for Abbott Nutrition, coordinating, and driving the translation of trade marketing strategy to actioned campaigns across mass market, pharmaceutical and e-commerce channels. You will build relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, understanding business needs, gain shopper and customer insights to build trade marketing strategies and plans including building of brand strategies related to product placement, promotions, and distribution.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Tracking trade marketing performance by integrating a variety of data sources to drive results, and leveraging data, digital insights, and trade trends to prioritize accounts, territory/area and drive maximum value throughout the region.
- Aligning channel activities across Sales and Marketing.
- Develop, implement, and track brand trade strategies and plans related to promotion, distribution, and placement.
- Collaborate with brand and sales teams on product forecasting by channel and tracking performance to ensure targets are met.
- Develop trade selling stories for new products and/or channel expansion and present to target customers.
- Use digital strategies, technologies, tactics, and insights to develop integrated customer engagement plans that drive business impact.
- Trade budget development and tracking with ROI analysis of investments to recommend plans and course correction.
- Develop target content and POP material that leverages platform (digital vs traditional) strengths to drive shopper interest.
- Analyses channel performance and revenue holistically to maximize profitability.
- Evaluates market dynamics based on market trends, formulate demand analysis framework, and establish key priorities to analyse target customers in identifying opportunities to influence the market.
- Identify opportunities and threats based on the intelligence collected, to pursue the right opportunities with target customers.
- Understanding factors that impact business outcomes; to anticipate future needs and uncover hidden opportunities; and to exercise sound judgment in making decisions that maximize profitability, and the ability to prioritize actions based on ROI.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
- Proven trade marketing experience in developing brand strategies and plans related to distribution, placement, and promotion for mass market retail channels.
- Proficient in analytics of customer and shopper insights.
- Working collaboratively with cross-functional partners and non-technical users to support data quality, identify and resolve issues.
- Having the experience of to be able to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders for decisions to be made.
- Strong evidence of project management competency and proven track record of delivering on time and within budget.
- Educated to degree level and/or equivalent qualification with relevant commercial experience.
- Proficient in Excel or other tools to discover/analyse potential patterns and correlations to support the marketing efforts.
- Experience of nutrition supplement industry or appropriate marketing/business sector is preferred.
