As a (Senior) Field Technical Engineer within our Electrophysiology (EP) team you will be responsible for providing expert support and advice on the use of the Abbott EP portfolio within ROI (Republic of Ireland). The ideal candidate’s location would be Belfast area due to business needs. In this role you will be a member of the Region North EP team (North England, Scotland and Ireland) and you would mainly support clinically the EP business in Northern and Southern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert clinical consultation, teaching and support on the use of all EP products and their appropriate application in the clinical setting.
  • Maintain up to date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the country healthcare market.
  • Providing technical support to the EP salesforce.
  • Conduct product presentations and perform stand duty at exhibitions when requested, responding to technical questions that might be raised by EMEA or customers.

What you’ll need:

  • Individuals will ideally have a BSc in a science related degree.
  • Significant experience with electrophysiology products either within a clinical setting or in an equivalent role within industry.
  • Experience in 3D Mapping system would be considered as a plus.
  • Strong cardiac anatomy and physiology knowledge.
  • A willingness to travel 75% of the time and ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
