Abbott's Diabetes Care team in Witney (Oxfordshire) has a clear vision for its sensor technology business taking it into high volume manufacture. At Abbott in Witney, we develop and manufacture a number of technologies used in the management of diabetes, including the next generation sensor technology used in the revolutionary new FreeStyle Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring system. We are expanding and have exciting opportunities for those keen to kick-start a career in engineering.

We are looking for keen, enthusiastic and driven people, wanting to start their career in engineering via an apprenticeship. Successful candidates will start their Advanced Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, in September 2026. This program will see you undertaking block release study periods at our carefully selected training provider's facility, learning essential engineering skills and techniques including machining, bench fitting and electrical fundamentals, alongside time spent on site with us in Witney, rotating around the relevant Operations departments including Operations Engineering, Quality Assurance, Engineering Support Group, Systems Engineering, and facilities department.

As an Abbott apprentice, you will receive ongoing support for your career development, including additional qualifications where relevant. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you can expect a role that will match your skills and interests with business requirements.
