We have a fantastic opportunity, initially on a temporary basis (12 months) to join our phenomenal Electrophysiology (EP) business, where we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
Role Overview
As a trainee Clinical Specialist / Associate Field Technical Engineer EP you will undergo extensive training to provide expert support and guidance on the use of the Abbott EP portfolio within the clinical setting.
The UK EP team nurtures graduates into clinically-focused Field Technical Engineers who provide exceptional in-procedure support to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing expert clinical consultation, teaching and support on the use of all EP products and their appropriate application in the clinical setting.
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, and understanding the dynamics of the country healthcare market.
- Providing technical support to the EP salesforce.
- Conducting product presentations, responding to technical questions, and supporting external events as required.
Qualifications
- BSc in a science-related degree e. g., Biomedical Sciences.
- Strong cardiac anatomy and physiology knowledge.
- Willingness to travel 75% of the time and ability to work autonomously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
- Prior work experience with medical devices of a similar nature to electrophysiology products is desirable but not required – full training will be given.
