The Role
We are seeking a Regional Business Manager to lead, develop, and grow a highâperforming regional sales team within Abbott Diabetes Care. This is a fieldâbased leadership role with responsibility for sales revenue, margins, pricing negotiations, market access, and NHS account management across the East of England. Reporting to the UK Sales Director, you will set and deliver regional strategy aligned to national priorities, anticipate market change, and drive growth of the Abbott Diabetes FreeStyle Libre ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial & Strategic Leadership
- Own and deliver regional sales revenue, margin and pricing responsibilities in line with targets agreed with the UK Sales Director
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned to national objectives and evolving NHS priorities
- Lead regional business planning, forecasting, budget management, and data analysis
- Secure optimal market access through targeted engagement with key decisionâmakers, payors, gatekeepers, and KOLs
- Lead endâtoâend tender and formulary processes
- Sales & Account Management
- Lead the ADC account management process for key regional accounts
- Coordinate resources, planning and activity to maximise sales growth, advocacy, and brand presence
- Maintain personal ownership of strategic accounts to ensure sustained market access and growth
- People Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional field sales team to build capability, accountability, and performance
- Conduct regular field visits to enhance selling skills, product knowledge, and diabetes expertise
- Drive high standards of performance management and continuous learning
- Recruit, deploy, and redeploy team members as required to meet business needs
- CrossâFunctional & Business Leadership
- Partner with marketing, commercial operations, and brand teams to ensure effective campaign development and execution
- Contribute to businessâcritical projects on behalf of Abbott Diabetes Care
- Ensure effective management and compliant use of FOC stock
- Represent the regional sales leadership function in wider UK business initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education
- Degree or Masterâs qualification or significant experience within:
- Medical Devices
- Pharmaceuticals
- Healthcare / NHSâaligned environments
- Experience & Capability
- Proven success in sales leadership and regional management roles
- Strong understanding of NHS structures, initiatives, and decisionâmaking processes
- Highly effective coach, communicator, and presenter
- Confident negotiator with strong commercial and analytical skills
- Excellent prioritisation, organisation, and timeâmanagement capabilities
