Opportunity Abbott’s Diabetes Care division is part of Abbott Laboratories and is one of the leading manufacturers of cutting‑edge glucose monitoring systems for the home and hospital diabetes markets. Our UK operations include R&D/Manufacturing at our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Witney, and Sales, Marketing and Commercial functions based out of Maidenhead, supported by many field‑based teams.
During the internship you will be given the opportunity to showcase your skills and talent. As a team we feel it is important to focus on your individual development and you will be given the opportunity to shape and lead projects during your time with us. We aim to support you in identifying and working on key development areas that are important to help you get the most out of your placement and prepare you for a future career – hopefully with us!
Main Accountabilities:
- Working within our sales enablement team to ensure the infield sales team can be as effective as possible.
- Supporting our training programmes designed to upskill the sales teams.
- Supporting our team in analysing data to provide insights to the organisation.
- Supporting roll‑out of key CRM modules including testing and training.
What are we looking for?
This position is suitable for a student studying towards a degree (Bachelors or Integrated Masters) in a Business related field and would form part of a year in industry requirement. You will be confident at working independently as well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment and as such be able to manage your projects and responsibilities accordingly. Skills in Excel and Power BI are advantageous but not a requirement for the role as you can learn any skills you may need.
Throughout the placement, you will have regular opportunities to learn, develop, grow and of course gain continuous feedback, coaching and mentoring to further support your learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to experience sales activities at the forefront of the healthcare industry.
