Join Abbott Rapid Diagnostics – Infectious Disease business, a world leader in point‑of‑care testing. Due to an internal promotion, we are recruiting for a Product Application Specialist for the North UK region (North West, Wales, Scotland & Ireland). Candidates must be based within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Rapid Diagnostics – Infectious Disease commercial strategy to align and partner with the NHS and private sectors, maximizing sales and margin goals.
- Provide technical expertise, training and support for the entire product portfolio to customers and internal teams.
- Accountable for achieving regional sales revenue and instrument placement targets through product expertise and customer engagement.
- Prioritise key accounts and products based on national segmentation and targeting strategy, developing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Accelerate the sales cycle through product demonstrations, technical education and verification/validation support.
- Own implementation process for new business opportunities to ensure post‑sale success and customer satisfaction.
- Support and upsell in existing accounts by adding value through training, education and troubleshooting.
- Lead connectivity for all new instruments in the region, ensuring rapid implementation.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Degree or higher in Business, Biological Science, Nursing or a related field.
- Proven technical experience in the medical devices industry (preferred).
- Knowledge of rapid diagnostic and POCT industry practices in a relevant clinical field (preferred).
- Experience delivering engaging education and training to healthcare professionals.
- Good knowledge of the UK healthcare industry, NHS and private providers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills.
- Self‑starter with flexibility, able to work under pressure in a fast‑changing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various CRM systems.
- Good understanding of NHS operations and environmental regulations.
Travel
Regional field‑based role with approximately 80% travel within the UK & Ireland.
