What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Evolving existing supply risk management activities across the organisation, driving standardisation, modernisation and best practice.
  • Developing robust supply risk scoring and prioritisation tools and user‑friendly interfaces that produce actionable, data‑driven insights.
  • Creating, delivering and maintaining an enterprise‑wide governance structure, developing processes, guidance and training that embeds best practice and a recognisable ‘brand’ for supply risk management.
  • Engaging with cross‑functional stakeholders, gathering insights, gaining buy‑in and influencing adoption by championing the supply risk management culture within the organisation.
  • Owning the ongoing supply risk management cycle, collaborating with procurement teams and cross‑functional stakeholders to identify, assess and prioritise supply risk.
  • Partnering closely with PMO, procurement functions and operational leadership to drive mitigation actions forward, ensuring momentum and accountability through structured reporting.
  • Providing clear, high‑quality updates to executive leadership, highlighting project progress and risks.
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement, refining processes, incorporating stakeholder feedback and identifying opportunities to leverage technology to enhance efficiency and visibility.
  • Collaborating with other Abbott divisions to share insights, identify scalable solutions and contribute to the evolution of supply risk management at group level.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Ideally degree qualified in a business related topic / CIPS (or Equivalent)
  • Expertise in supply risk management – either through leading similar organisational initiatives or from managing procurement categories with significant risk exposure.
  • Proven ability to lead change across complex environments, including influencing senior stakeholders, overcoming resistance and building organisational alignment.
  • Experience in project or programme management, with the discipline to drive structured execution and track progress across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate data into insight and drive action.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to build credibility, educate stakeholders and establish supply risk management as a valued organisational capability.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing organisation, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
