Join Abbott’s innovative Heart Failure (HF) business, where we are committed to transforming patient outcomes through cutting‑edge cardiovascular technologies. We are seeking a passionate and driven Field Education Specialist to support the growth, adoption, and clinical excellence of our Heart Failure portfolio focused on CardioMEMS, making it the standard of care. As a result of significant expansion this is a brand new role in the UK. Ideal candidate locations: Midlands / London. The role requires national travel (75‑80%).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical and technical training to internal teams and HCPs
- Support HCP education and customer training in appropriate product use
- Align training programmes with HF strategy in collaboration with leadership and marketing
- Design and deliver innovative, scalable training (in‑person, virtual, group, and 1:1)
- Plan and execute UK training events and programmes
- Support internal certification and technical sign‑off for Abbott devices
- Maintain strong product, therapy, and market knowledge; translate insights for stakeholders
- Drive training for product launches and commercial readiness
- Partner with sales and marketing to ensure aligned, effective training delivery
- Provide on‑site clinical and technical support alongside sales teams in hospitals, including customer onboarding, product adoption, and case support where relevant
- Support and deliver patient education to ensure proper understanding and adherence to therapy where applicable
- Coach and develop sales representatives through field accompaniment, providing real‑time feedback on product positioning, clinical messaging, and customer engagement
- Support onboarding, certification, and development of new hires
- Collaborate with HCPs and internal teams to enhance training quality and relevance
- Track training effectiveness, KPIs, and continuously improve programmes
- Manage training data and feedback to identify gaps and future needs
- Contribute to operating plans by identifying training and resource requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience designing and delivering training in a fast‑paced, international environment
- Proven ability to deliver clinical/technical training (virtual and in‑person)
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire teams
- Track record of developing training for both new hires and experienced professionals
- Good knowledge of the healthcare market; cardiology devices/technology experience preferred
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with LMS, digital learning, or training impact measurement is a plus
- Prior sales or field experience is advantageous
- Able to work effectively in a matrix and engage with customers/KOLs
- Excellent communication skills
