MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

This is an Individual Contributor role with expectations aligned to the Capabilities and Behaviours as set out in the Abbott Dundee Employee Handbook for an Individual Contributor. Within the Assembly Packing Environment, the Assembly Operator is responsible for safely ensuring the on-time delivery of finished/assembled (packed) product which conforms to current best practices and Quality standards and is aligned to the expectations set by the Operations Master Schedule.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conducts all activities in accordance with the Abbott Dundee Environmental, Health and Safety culture and policies.
  • Takes full accountability for personal workload; ensuring work is completed on-time, to a high standard, in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Takes a self-motivated approach to continuous professional development and engaging with site training initiatives/requirements.
  • Completes Quality Documentation to a high standard, right first time, compliant with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Accurately follow instructions, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Packing Batch Records (PBRs) and Kit Layout Forms (KLFs) to ensure that products are produced accurately and in accordance with quality instructions.
  • Operates all assembly equipment (automated, semi-automated, manual) in accordance with all applicable procedures and training.
  • Being aware of the policies as set out in the Abbott Employee Handbook and able to enact them as appropriate.
  • Carries out other duties as and when requested by Line and or Department/Senior Manager.

BASE REQUIREMENTS

Nat 4, or equivalent, in English, Maths, or equivalent experience to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills.

BACKGROUND

A detailed knowledge of production process control procedures and best practices. An ability to navigate Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and execute document control procedures. An ability to navigate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
