The Opportunity Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is recruiting a Training & Engagement Manager in North UK to focus on developing innovative training initiatives and programmes to adapt to evolving market dynamics and support continued business growth in Abbott’s Cardiometabolic business. This is a brand new, field-based, customer-facing role responsible for ensuring the effective use of Abbott Cardiometabolics (CM’s) product portfolio, delivering added value to customers, and driving loyalty and increased product utilisation.
Ideal candidate’s locations: Northwest, M62 corridor, Sheffield or Nottingham regions, Birmingham.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and delivery of tailored training programmes aligned to customer needs, utilising both virtual and face‑to‑face formats across all market segments, including hospitals, community settings, pharmacies, and private healthcare providers.
- Work cross‑functionally with marketing, training, technical services, global product management, and commercial teams.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Afinion and Cholestech LDX platforms.
Responsibilities
- A strong technical understanding of the product portfolio to include governance, quality processes, enable troubleshooting, and complaint monitoring.
- Support the technical components of tender submissions.
- Work closely with customers to drive engagement and retention, proactively identifying opportunities to upsell and increase product utilisation.
- Develop innovative training initiatives and programmes to adapt to evolving market dynamics and support continued business growth.
- Complete and submit timely administration tasks such as customer record keeping and activity (Sales Force), rolling forecasts, monthly highlights, expenses, training records etc. in line with divisional standards.
- Manage samples, demo devices, promotional expenses.
- Maintain close relationships with key accounts and ensure their requirements are being met.
- Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with Company image, ensuring activities comply with legal and ethical standards.

- Relevant Product Knowledge including communication of clinical and/or technical data.
- Capable computer skills for Abbott field reporting data system and necessary correspondence and spreadsheets.
