Home-based, part-time chartered structural or civil engineer required for 3 or 4 days per week in the position of Principal Structural Engineer for a small consultancy based near Ashford. The consultancy carries out inspections and reports on building defects, mainly domestic, small commercial and institutional (schools, hospitals, churches etc), which often lead to the design and specification of small-scale remedial works.
Applicants must respond to emailed enquiries from potential clients and review associate engineers' reports. The position would suit someone who has taken early retirement from full-time employment.
Must have a good knowledge of Building Regulations and be able to write reports in perfect English. Applicants must be chartered civil or structural and will be covered by our £2M PI insurance.
