An exciting opportunity for a full‑time Teacher of Maths to join our vibrant team. The right candidate will inspire and promote a love of mathematics inside and outside the classroom, teaching across all Key Stages, including A‑level and Further Maths.

Academic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, inspirational lessons
- Set regular assignments (homework) in accordance with school policy
- Provide appropriate feedback, including regular marking and attendance at parents’ evenings
- Maintain records of pupils’ progress
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of work, modifying planning and teaching as appropriate
- Produce periodic reports and assessment grades in line with the school schedule
- Maintain an attractive learning environment for pupils
- Contribute to or write schemes of work for teaching groups
- Follow relevant school and departmental policies, for example the marking policy
- Keep abreast of national educational initiatives, debates and best practice within the subject through attendance at INSET courses, as appropriate
- Fulfil specific departmental duties as detailed on the separate role‑specific description
Pastoral Responsibilities
- Be aware of the physical and emotional wellbeing of pupils
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils, liaising with other staff as necessary, including the School Health Advisor and Safeguarding Team
- Understand and implement all welfare and safeguarding policies, such as health and safety, child protection, safety on educational visits and attendance
- Fulfil the role of a tutor
General Responsibilities
- Attend weekly staff meetings at times organised by the SMT
- Share in the rota of break, lunchtime and evening supervision duties, as applicable
- Share in covering for colleagues on short‑term absence
- Contribute to the provision of extra‑curricular activities, including annual school ‘Hikes’ and, if needed, participation in a camp during the summer term
- Contribute to the marketing of the school through attending periodic school open days
- Undertake any other reasonable requests of the Headteacher
