Spinal Injury Live In Care Assistant in Old Windsor

We provide round-the-clock care packages to support people who have long term health conditions to live in the comfort and safety of their own home.

We're looking for a kind and dedicated Live-In Carer to support Jill, our client living with a spinal injury in Windsor.

This would suit someone who is empathetic but also confident and level-headed. There can be busy or stressful moments, so it's important that you don't become easily flustered or discouraged and can maintain a calm, professional approach.

You'll be helping with everyday life, including preparing meals, laundry, cleaning and general household duties, alongside providing our client's day-to-day care and support.

You should be someone who learns quickly, uses initiative and is comfortable working in a busy environment.

The working schedule is a 2 week on 2 week of basis, carers will usually work 2 weeks on duty followed by 2 weeks off duty, rotating with another live-in carer.

The support includes:

• Day to day living tasks including keeping the living space clean and tidy.
• Catheter care
• Daily Bowel care as well as all other personal care needs
• Meeting up with friends and family at social events
• Going on scenic walks in local areas
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Helping her maintain as much choice and independence as possible
• Monitoring her general wellbeing and communicating any concerns

We are offering:

• Rates of £900 per week, with an additional £50.00 per week food allowance

Her ideal carer will be:

• A driver, with a full UK license and own vehicle - this is mandatory for the role
• Friendly, chatty and a good listener
• Kind, patient and compassionate
• Calm and reassuring, particularly when supporting mobility
• Respectful of our client choices and feelings
• Experienced in supporting the elderly
• Ideally experienced in live-in care
• Reliable and able to work confidently and independently
• Passionate about providing person-centred care
• Someone who understands that the little things, such as putting on some favourite music, having a chat or enjoying the garden together, can make a real difference to someone's day.
