Abbots Care provides round‑the‑clock care packages to support people with long‑term needs in the comfort of their own home. Please note that you must have the right to work in the UK and you must have a full UK licence and access to your own vehicle for this role. We are looking for an individual to support a female client with epilepsy living in Hemel Hempstead. Previous epilepsy experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care
  • Administer medication
  • Attend social activities and companionship
  • Support learning of everyday life skills
  • Assist with regular sport and exercise
  • Food shopping and meal planning

Working hours are shift work between 7 am and 10 pm, with a mandatory commitment to one shift every other weekend.

Qualifications

  • Physically fit, calm, patient, friendly and caring
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with epilepsy
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Personable with a proactive attitude to work
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Clean and tidy appearance and behaviour
