Abbots Care is an award-winning domiciliary care company in Hertfordshire with a CQC rating of outstanding. Our community-based care assistants provide care to our service users within their own homes to help them remain as independent as possible. We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our expanding team! We have been providing support and care within the community since 1995 to various service user types, including children and the elderly.
The role of a care assistant is rewarding and offers opportunities for career development at Abbots, including paid diplomas and job progression. We are currently recruiting community care assistants to provide care in people's own homes in the St Albans and surrounding areas. Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary, as comprehensive training is provided by our in-house training department.
You will need to have a full driving license and access to your own car to process your application. Our pay rates are £13.00 per hour on weekdays and £15.00 per hour on weekends, with working hours between 7 am and 10 pm. Shift patterns are 7 am-2 pm and 4 pm-10 pm, including alternate weekends.
We offer various contracts, including zero-hour, part-time, and full-time contracts of up to 40 hours per week. The role of a community care assistant includes:
- Providing support and care for service users within their own homes
- Supporting and assisting with personal care
- Preparing meals and domestic tasks
- Administering medication
- Supporting service users with hobbies and social interests
