Abbots Care is an award-winning domiciliary care company in Hertfordshire with a CQC rating of outstanding. Our community-based care assistants provide care to our service users within their own homes to help them remain as independent as possible.

We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our ever expanding team! We have been providing support and care within the community since 1995 to various different service user types including children and the elderly.

The role of a care assistant is extremely rewarding and fulfilling, with many opportunities to develop within your career at Abbots including paid diplomas and job progression.

We are currently recruiting for community care assistants to join our teams providing care in peoples own homes in the Watford and surrounding areas.

Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary as paid comprehensive training is provided by our Inhouse training department.

You will need to have a full driving licence with access to your own car in order for us to process your application.

Our pay rates are £13.00 per hour weekdays and on weekends increased to £15.00 per hour, with working hours between 7am-10pm. Shift patterns are 7am-2pm & 4pm-10pm including alternate weekends.

As well as Zero hour contracts we also offer part time and full contracts of up to 40hrs per week with high salaries of £26,665.60 per annum (£12.82ph)

The role of a community care assistant includes:

  • Providing support and care for our service users within their own homes
  • Supporting and assisting with personal care.
  • Preparing meals and associated domestic tasks.
  • Administering medication
  • Supporting your service user with their hobbies and social interests.
