Abbots Care is an award-winning domiciliary care company in Hertfordshire with a CQC rating of outstanding. Our community-based care assistants provide care to our service users within their own homes to help them remain as independent as possible. We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our expanding team! We have been providing support and care within the community since 1995 to various service user groups, including children and the elderly.

The role of a care assistant is extremely rewarding and fulfilling, offering many opportunities for career development at Abbots, including paid diplomas and progression opportunities. We are currently recruiting community care assistants to provide care in people's own homes in the St Albans area and surrounding locations. We are particularly interested in applicants available to work between 7am-2pm.

Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary, as comprehensive training is provided by our in-house training department. You will need a full driving licence and access to your own car to process your application.

Our pay rates are £13.00 per hour on weekdays and increase to £16.00 per hour on weekends, with working hours between 7am-2pm, including alternate weekends. We offer zero-hour contracts, as well as part-time and full-time contracts of up to 40 hours per week, with annual salaries up to £26,665.60 (£12.82 per hour). Shift patterns include 7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm, including alternate weekends.

The role of a community care assistant includes:

  • Providing support and care within service users' own homes
