This position is specifically tailored to accommodate the unique needs of a 29 year-old male with learning disabilities and Autism. As a care support worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the individual's quality of life by providing personalised care and assistance.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish a trusting and supportive relationship.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages the social and emotional wellbeing of your service user.
- Provide support during community outings and activities.
- Enabling people to communicate with others and sometimes advocating for them.
- Offering support when they are distressed and/or displaying behaviour that challenges.
- Right to work in UK - we do not provide sponsorship.
- Full UK driving license.
- Compassion and patience.
- Experience or willingness to learn about working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow and implement care plans effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual's changing needs.
We are offering both 0 hour contracts and full time guaranteed hours of up to 40hrs per week. Working hours are shifts of 8am-2pm / 2pm-8pm / 8pm-11pm / 11pm-8am (sleeping nights) including alternate weekends. We are looking for both day time carers and overnight carers.
