The Opportunity
We are working on behalf of an established specialist contractor within the building services sector, supporting the appointment of an experienced Project & Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple ventilation-led mechanical projects across commercial environments. This is a hands-on management role offering end-to-end responsibility, from pre-start planning through to commissioning and final handover. The successful candidate will work across several live sites, acting as the key point of contact for delivery, coordination and commercial control. Projects range in value and have a strong focus on quality, safety and client satisfaction rather than volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple mechanical / ventilation projects from pre-construction to completion
- Oversee programme delivery, site coordination and resource planning
- Maintain commercial control, including variations and change management
- Prepare and submit payment applications
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
- Monitor progress, manage risk and resolve technical or delivery issues
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM and industry standards
- Support commissioning, snagging and handover processes
Experience Required
- Proven experience delivering ventilation or HVAC projects within a contracting environment
- Background as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager or Construction Manager
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems
- Commercial awareness and confidence managing variations and project costs
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across live environments
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience across commercial office, industrial or occupied buildings
- Mechanical or HVAC trade background
- Exposure to ventilation design, estimating or value engineering
