Most accountancy firms spend their time reporting what has already happened, looking backwards. We would rather help clients shape and impact what happens next.
We do the core accountancy work properly, but we also go further, giving clients actual proactive support across advisory, tax, systems, growth and better business decisions.
We work with ambitious business owners who want more than a set of accounts once a year. They want someone to spot things early, look ahead, challenge where needed and actually help them move forward.
Our culture is fast-paced, high-energy and focused on improvement. We use tech properly, think commercially and back ourselves to make a real difference to our clients.
We want people that really care about clients, enjoy solving problems, communicate well and have a drive to keep learning. This is a team for people who want to be involved, contribute, take ownership and help build something better and different in our sector.
This is not a standard Client Manager role. This role is about adding value, making a difference and helping clients move forward. It means understanding the businesses you work with, spotting issues early, looking ahead, challenging where needed and helping clients make better decisions.
You will lead your own team within the pod, supporting them, developing them and helping raise standards across the board. This role also has a commercial edge. We want someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities, winning business and playing a part in Abbeygate’s continued growth.
You should want to contribute to the wider SLT conversation, bring ideas to the table and help shape what better looks like for both our clients and our team.
Over time, this role should grow beyond compliance and client management alone. We want someone who is keen to develop towards delivering more FD-level support, giving clients better insight, better reporting, better planning and better commercial input.
In short, this suits someone who is ready to get stuck in, support and grow their own team and client base, help win work, develop their commercial edge and grow into delivering proper FD-level support.
