What support and training will I be given?
We provide a comprehensive induction program tailored to your volunteer role. This includes all the training and support you need to feel confident and empowered to make a difference from day one.
Will I be invited for an interview?
After you apply, we’ll invite you for an informal interview to get to know each other better. It’s a chance for you to learn about the role and for us to see if you’d be a great fit for the team.
Do I need to supply references or undergo a DBS check?
Our volunteering roles require two references and a DBS check. The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our top priority. The cost of these checks will be met by Abbeyfield. You may be asked to provide details regarding convictions; failure to disclose convictions may result in an offer of employment being revoked.
