Just like Richard Carr-Gomm, Abbeyfield Living Society founder who dedicated his time to combating loneliness in older adults, you too can make a lasting impact. Over 60 years later, our mission thrives thanks to the hundreds of incredible volunteers who bring their unique skills and personalities to our houses and homes. At Abbeyfield Living Society, our amazing volunteers are the heart of what we do. Without their dedication, many older people in our communities could feel isolated and alone. But with your time, you can change that.

What skills and experience do I need?

Do I need to supply references or undergo a DBS check?
The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our top priority. Our volunteering roles require two references and a DBS check.

Please note this role will require eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references and an Enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Abbeyfield.
