We are now looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Speedwell Court. Speedwell Court is an 80‑bedded home, providing high‑quality residential care and dementia‑friendly care services.

- Location: Speedwell Court, Mansbridge Road, West End, Southampton, SO18 3HW.
- Hours: 8am‑8pm, including alternate weekend shifts.
- Pay: £12.96 - £13.31 per hour
The Role of Care Assistant
As a Care Assistant at Abbeyfield Living Society, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care that reflects our values and puts residents at the heart of everything we do.
Care & Compassion
You will support residents with their day‑to‑day personal care needs, including washing, dressing, eating, drinking and mobility. You will take the time to understand each individual, offering kindness, patience and empathy while promoting dignity, independence and choice.

You will help create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where residents feel safe, valued and at home. By building trusting relationships and encouraging social interaction, you will help foster a strong sense of belonging and connection within the home.

You will act with honesty and professionalism, following care plans accurately, respecting confidentiality and raising concerns when something doesn’t feel right. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to clear, open communication within the team.
