Contract: Permanent, 16 hrs per week
Rota: Week 1: Tuesday & Thursday 9 – 6, Week 2: Saturday & Sunday 9 – 6
We’re looking for a dedicated cook with a passion for caring for older people. Bring warmth and a user‑friendly approach to the kitchen.
What We’re Looking For
- Confidence in cooking for up to 9 people
- Strong organisational skills, able to handle a variety of tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine understanding of the needs of older people
- Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel familiarity is a plus, but full training will be provided)
About the Role
Prepare wholesome, home‑cooked meals for residents and ensure they enjoy them. Serve as a friendly face and support residents in their daily wellbeing. Assist with general wellbeing tasks, handle any issues that arise, and escalate as necessary. Basic computer and budget management skills are helpful, but training will be provided.

This role requires eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references and a basic DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by Abbeyfield.
