We are seeking relief staff to complement our existing Sheltered Housing teams on the Isle Of Wight. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a flexible, rewarding role where they can make a real difference in the lives of older people.

About the Role

As relief staff, you will take on a dual role, combining cooking and resident support responsibilities. You will directly impact the wellbeing of our residents by providing the support and care they need in a safe, nurturing environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and serve home-cooked meals for 8-17 residents, while maintaining food stock and ensuring proper rotation.
  • Resident Support: Be the first point of contact for residents, offering a friendly face and support with their daily needs.
  • Housekeeping: Ensure communal areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for all.
  • Wellbeing Promotion: Promote the overall wellbeing of our residents, ensuring they feel respected, empowered, and connected within our community.

This flexible role offers the opportunity to take on additional hours across our three Sefton services if you wish, providing variety and making your experience even more fulfilling in a supportive, caring environment.
