About Abbeyfield House: Situated in the cultural suburb of New Malden and surrounded by areas of natural beauty, easy access to public transport links and a bustling high street nearby, Abbeyfield House is a purpose built Dementia Care Home. We offer tailored and personalised packages of care, 24 hours a day to up to 36 residents at any one time. Each resident will have a beautifully furnished ensuite room, with a spacious, sensory garden and communal areas to enjoy.

The Role: Our Care Team Leaders sit at the heart of what we do. As the recognised leader on a shift, you'll have overall responsibility for regular monitoring of the health, care and social needs of our residents, plus the preparation, implementation and review of their personal care plans, including the administering of medication. Care Team Leaders supervise, support, coach and develop other team members and liaise with people involved in residents' care, as well as with the residents themselves. Put simply, you'll ensure residents' needs and wishes are at the centre of the care we provide. As the Care Team Leader on that shift, you will keep a cool head and take the lead when staff or residents need help, such as in the event of an emergency.

Pay & Benefits: Starting hourly rate: £15.57. Hours: This is a bank role, so shifts will be available on an adhoc basis, dependent on the needs of the service. Shifts are available on day or night shifts. Shift times are 8am - 8pm for day shifts and 8pm - 8am for night shifts. At Abbeyfield, we are committed to rewarding our staff for their hard work. About You: Our Care Team Leaders must be an experienced Care Assistant, ideally with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or be committed to working towards this. As a leader of a team, you must be able to demonstrate good organisation and staff management skills. You'll already be skilled in writing and updating Care Plans, and competent in the administration of Medication, but most of all, you'll be passionate and committed to providing exceptional care to our residents, their families and friends.
