Abbeyfield Living Society, a leading provider of housing and care for older people across England, is looking for a Bank Worker Well-Being Assistant to join our Sheltered Housing team on a flexible, casual basis.

Location & Hours: Malmesbury, SN16 0FN
Contract: Bank (Zero Hours)
Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour

About The Role: On a casual basis, you’ll cover staff holidays and sickness, helping to ensure that residents have the support and reassurance Abbeyfield strives to provide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the safety and well-being of residents, staff, and facilities through regular site checks and vigilance.
  • Act as the first point of contact in emergencies and respond immediately to Warden Alarm calls.
  • Provide domestic portage, scheduled cleaning and laundry, waste management, and emergency repairs as needed.
  • Use computers and maintain confidentiality of resident information.

About You: You are customer focused, friendly, sociable, reliable, with excellent communication skills. You can read and write to a good standard, are self-motivated, assertive, and able to work independently, yet thrive as part of a team. You demonstrate good organisational and problem-solving skills and can prioritise workload and stay calm under pressure.

Pay & Benefits:

Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references, and an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Abbeyfield). You may be asked to provide details regarding convictions; failure to disclose convictions may result in an offer of employment being revoked.
