Role: Cook and Resident Support

Location: Esk Moors Lodge, Whitby

Hourly Rate: £13.21

Contract: Permanent

Rota: 12 hrs per week Mon, Sat, Sun week 1; Mon, Wed, Thurs 10am‑2pm

Qualifications

  • Confidence in cooking for up to 9 people
  • Strong organisational skills, ready to handle a variety of tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills with a genuine understanding of the needs of older people
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel experience is a plus, but full training will be provided)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare wholesome, home‑cooked meals for residents
  • Assist with general wellbeing, handle any issues that arise and elevate them when needed
  • Support budget management and basic computer tasks (training provided)

Please note this role will require eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references and a basic DBS check, the cost of which will be met by Abbeyfield.
