The Home: Abbeyfield House is a care home located in an extended large detached house, just one mile from Bramhall Village in Stockport.

The Role of Care Assistant: This is a casual (bank) position. As a Care Assistant, you will be asked to work when required and will have the choice to accept or decline any offered shifts. As one of our valued relief Care Assistants, you'll be at the forefront of care delivery. You'll assist residents with personal care, medical needs, and social activities. You'll build bonds with residents, providing both professional and emotional support, especially during illnesses. Your duties include helping residents with washing, dressing, eating, drinking, and mobility, always respecting their choices, dignity, and independence. You'll be involved in developing and updating residents' Care Plans, considering any specialist support needs.

We offer a pay rate of £12.58 to £12.85 per hour, benchmarked regularly and aligned with our employed staff in similar roles. Depending on hours worked, you will accrue paid leave at an equivalent of 31 days per year, including bank/public holidays (pro-rata). Mandatory training will be provided as part of a comprehensive induction, and ongoing training will be required to maintain your qualification for future shifts.
