Abbeyfield The Dales is a not-for-profit care charity with one mission: Making Time for Older People. We provide a supportive, family-feel working environment guided by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Openness.

Hours: 3 shifts over 7 days 10am to 6pm (alternate weekends).

Key Duties

  • Assist in preparing and serving nutritious, well-presented meals for residents.
  • Work as part of the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality and service.
  • Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
  • Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with Environmental Health Regulations.
  • Ensure safe food handling, storage, and stock rotation procedures are followed.
  • Assist with catering for events and functions within the Home.
  • Carry out additional duties appropriate to the Kitchen Assistant role as required.
