Abbeyfield The Dales is a not‑for‑profit care charity with one mission: Making Time for Older People. We provide a supportive, family‑feel working environment guided by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Openness. We are looking for a caring and reliable Chef to join our team.
Hours: 4 shifts over 7 days 8am to 6pm (alternate weekends)
Key Duties:
- Prepare and cook daily lunch and teatime meals.
- Assist with menu planning and kitchen rota management.
- Ensure adequate stock levels and assist with ordering from approved suppliers.
- Support catering for social and special functions as required.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with Environmental Health Regulations, including SFBB records and cleaning schedules.
- Monitor food storage, temperatures, and handling procedures.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, cutlery, and crockery, reporting any faults or repairs needed.
