Role: Maintenance - Bank
The Home: Abbeyfield Court, 46 Locks Road, Locks Heath, Southampton, SO31 6BF
Hours: Flexible hours available as this is a bank agreement
Pay: £13.39 p/h - £13.49 p/h
The Role of Maintenance Operative:
- All repairs are carried out effectively and quickly, and to a good standard.
- Work is carried out safely, with adherence to relevant building and construction related regulations.
- Readily identifiable issues are reported and addressed to minimise impact, risk and damage.
- Report any emergencies to Property Services.
- To complete and maintain the day to day repairs and maintenance of the building and its environment, including painting and decoration to residents’ rooms.
- To ensure strict confidentiality in all matters.
- Minor adjustments to windows, doors, restrictors and door closers.
- To ensure all relevant documentation is kept up to date and completed.
In line with your casual (bank) worker assignment agreement, we offer competitive pay that is benchmarked regularly, and in line with those of our employed staff in similar roles. Depending on how many hours you work, you will accrue leave at an equivalent rate of 31 days paid leave in a full calendar year, inclusive of bank/public holidays (pro rata).
To carry out this role, you will be provided with mandatory training to get you started, as part of a comprehensive induction. To work for us in future assignments, you will be expected to keep your mandatory training up to date.
About You:
- You must have good general property maintenance knowledge and skills, and experience in providing maintenance services to other clients.
- Be able to communicate and interact well with people, be able to read and write to a good standard, and be computer literate.
- Have good knowledge of relevant health and safety and trade regulations and have the ability to assess and manage risk.
