Responsible to: Housing & Support Manager
Key objectives:- To welcome new tenants to their flats and bungalows and assist them to settle in.
- To promote the corporate life of the tenants in response to demand.
- To support tenants who need help in times of sickness, bereavement or other distress.
- To assist in engaging staff required for domestic and, where necessary, catering duties, and by supervision, to ensure a high standard of efficiency and cleanliness.
- In consultation with the Property and Development Manager ensure the buildings, equipment, furnishings and grounds are properly and cost-effectively maintained.
- To ensure the relevant regulations/legislation relating to Health and Safety are understood and implemented throughout the Association's property.
- To manage the scheme in a spirit of service and concern for those in need whilst ensuring equality of treatment and service to tenants.
- To make daily contact with all tenants to ascertain their well-being and needs, subsequently taking or following through appropriate action.
- To collate and update relevant information on each tenant for the Helpline system.
- To advise and assist tenants in any aspect of their lives where they have difficulty coping, particularly with respect to:
- Contact with local authority, statutory services, district nurse, etc.
- Obtaining help for the repair and/or maintenance of accommodation.
- Links with outside bodies or visitors.
