Our swimming pools are reopening after an exciting period of refurbishment, and we’re building a brilliant team of Leisure Assistants to help us welcome the community back. As a Leisure Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our newly refreshed facilities, helping to create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for swimmers of all ages. You’ll keep a watchful eye on the pool, respond calmly and confidently to situations, and be a friendly face for our customers. We have full-time and part-time permanent positions available, offering a variety of days and hours to suit different lifestyles. If you’re looking for something more seasonal, we’re also recruiting temporary Lifeguards for the summer holidays — perfect for students or anyone who loves being poolside.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lifeguarding duties, including monitoring pool safety and responding to emergencies.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
  • Assisting with equipment setup and breakdown for various activities.
  • Providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall experience for our guests.

Requirements:

  • Responsible individual with a passion for working in leisure, health, and well-being.
  • Prior experience is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the well-being of others.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required. Candidates without an NPLQ will have the opportunity to undergo full training after a successful swim test and interview.
