As a Leisure Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our members and customers. From lifeguarding our pools to maintaining cleanliness standards and assisting with equipment setup, you’ll deliver exceptional customer service every day!

Position Details

  • Position 1 – 15:30 hours per week (includes 0.5 hours staff training)
  • Position 2 – 34:30 hours per week (includes 0.5 hours staff training)

Rota

  • Position 1 – Wednesday 18:00‑21:30 / Thursday 14:30‑17:30 / Saturday 12:00‑16:00 / Sunday 10:00‑14:30
  • Position 2 – Tuesday 05:30‑14:30 / Wednesday 05:30‑14:30 / Thursday 05:30‑14:30 / Friday 05:30‑14:30

Key Responsibilities

  • Lifeguarding duties, including monitoring pool safety and responding to emergencies.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
  • Assisting with equipment set‑up and breakdown for various activities.
  • Providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall experience for our guests.

Requirements

  • Responsible individual with a passion for working in leisure, health and well‑being.
  • Full training will be provided – prior experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the well‑being of others.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS Check and Children’s Barred List screening required.

Qualifications

  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required. Candidates without an NPLQ will have an opportunity to undergo full training after a successful swim test and interview.
